Numerous medical experts all over the world have tried out different drugs in hopes to find a treatment to the fatal coronavirus. Due to the efforts of the people behind the science, it was found out that two drugs, hydroxychloroquine, and remdesivir can possibly improve the conditions of the patients infected with COVID-19.

However, while there are continuous efforts to find a treatment to combat the said virus, there are also some efforts to suppress the information that the public will see. Various hoax news and false information are circulating online, which eclipsed the real and trustworthy ones. As a result, the public feels panic over the newly-studied drugs and refuse to accept it as a treatment to COVID-19. Don’t let yourself get fooled easily, buy views reviews first.

Hydroxychloroquine As A Treatment For COVID-19

According to the video presented at Full Measure News by Sharyl Attkisson, hydroxychloroquine carries possible benefits for treating coronavirus. On the other hand, some parties downplayed the drug possibly due to financial interests. In addition to this, they promoted remdesivir, a separate treatment which they claimed could treat COVID-19.Video of Medical Experts Saying that Hydroxychloroquine Treats COVID-19, Censored by YouTube

Remdesivirs is a broad-spectrum antiviral medication developed by the biopharmaceutical company Gilead Sciences. Today, several medical experts are looking at the benefits of this drug for the pandemic that is taking hundreds of thousands of lives all over the world.  Japan has already approved the medical use of remdesivir. They use this medicine to treat patients with severe symptoms. They believe that this medicine can speed up the recovery time of a patient. However, it has its limitation. Experts are conducting further studies for the safety and efficacy purposes of these regimens.

In the interview, William O’Neill, a cardiologist in Detroit, claimed that hydroxychloroquine has some value that has to undergo some tests. He prescribed the drug to multiple patients and all of them showed improvements. O’Neill is working in Henry Ford Health System, an institution where officials are conducting further research on both hydroxychloroquine and remdesivir. They believe that these two drugs can treat coronavirus in some ways. However, patients were afraid to try any of the said drugs as media campaigns, which began when President Trump first touted it, prompted them to see the drugs in a negative way.

YouTube Views Cause Controvery

O’Neill’s colleagues at the University of Minnesota and the University of Washington are also conducting studies on the two drugs. After prescribing 400 patients with the drugs, they found out that it brings no negative effects. However, the real scientific efforts behind the two drugs are being eclipsed by the circulating hoaxes and fake science in various social media networks. As a result, people become so worrisome that they refuse to enroll in the drugs’ trials.

Another notable physician stated her opinion regarding this matter. The executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons Dr. Jane Orient believes that there is no hidden motive behind the study of hydroxychloroquine and remdesivir. Orient, who is also a clinical lecturer at the University of Arizona Colleg of Medicine urged viewers to “look at the money” when it comes to the two drugs. According to her, Remdesivir, if approved, will be a very expensive and very lucrative drug. On the other hand, hydroxychloroquine is quite cheap and easily manufactured. On top of that, it has been around for 70 years, which proves that it might indeed be useful.

There is no solid study about the treatment for COVID-19 yet. However, it would be very helpful if people will stop spreading and believing in hoaxes.

Meanwhile, Sharyl Attkisson released a statement about the controversial video, saying that she was not quite sure when the video was deleted by YouTube. There is no doubt that everything we see on the internet is very influential. Some are becoming ignorant and others are taking advantage of it.

Attkisson Claims the Video’s Removal to be Organized Efforts

According to Attkisson, the controversial video was originally published on YouTube on May 13. However, YouTube immediately removed the video from the platform, leaving a note that it was a dangerous content.  However, the platform did not explain why they deemed the video dangerous. This situation added confusion to the already-frightened minds of people.

Furthermore, Attkisson cited Media Matters’ report, which was published during the same day that her report was publicized, as the possible cause of the video’s removal.

Furthermore, Attkisson noted that the removal of the video is due to organized efforts. She argued that the removal and censorship of contrarian information is an effort done by politically biased parties. These political parties are fully aware that they can manipulate the systems to limit the information that the public will see. Attkisson also emphasized that this censorship is very frightening. If limitation to information continues to happen, people can no longer get the information that they need on the internet.

Conclusion

She also noted the efforts done by Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff. Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, is pressuring social media companies in an effort to downgrade and censor what he deems as harmful information about the coronavirus pandemic. Attkisson said that she had noticed some kind of suppression of information.

Moreover, Attkisson is not sure why everyone is allowing Schiff to suppress important information. In fact, no one ever appointed him to police the content on social media. So, it was quite bothersome that he is able to do so.

On the other hand, Full Measure News tried contacting Dr. Anthony Fauci, a member of the White House coronavirus task force. The online news platform also reached out to Gilead, the drug company that manufactures remdesivir, as well as many doctors who criticized and showed skepticism over hydroxychloroquine. However, none of the individuals involved responded to them.
